The bar and dining area was busy and so we struggled to find a table without a reservation, but the staff were friendly and helpful so we got sorted out after about five minutes. There are about half a dozen local cask ales available on the bar and I had a decent pint. The food was okay, but not really any better than Wetherspoons. I didn't pick up the bill, but I think it was about £15 a head. It's a convenient pub if you're in Carleton, but not somewhere to go out of your way for.May 12, 2017
